As the UK distributor for Uvex, we are so very proud to be supporting the Frickley Park team in staging the Uvex Frickley Cup! The event took place across 3 days, running from 16-19th August 2024 at Frickley park International Horse Trials and Uvex were delighted to sponsor this event! Prizes included £1,000 vouchers to the winners, £300 vouchers for second place, and individual products down to 10th place, so it was all to play for!

An exciting new long format British Eventing competition for riders competing at BE90 and BE100, the Uvex Frickley Cup presents riders with the opportunity to experience long format competition.
The Uvex Frickley Cup saw riders complete a dressage test on the Friday before riding across an extended championship cross country course on the Saturday. The weekend was completed on Sunday with reverse-order showjumping on the final day, followed by a mounted presentation prize-giving.

Jemima Griffiths awarded inaugural The Howden Way Spotlight Award

Jemima Griffiths from Gloucestershire has been awarded the very first Spotlight award, supported by uvex, which recognises a member who has stood out as embodying the culture and values of The Howden Way. Nominated by Level 3 Coach Katie William, in respect of the Wales & West Midlands Academy, Jemima wins a uvex riding helmet courtesy of Zebra Products as well as having a spot acknowledging her achievement within The Howden Way pages on the British Eventing website.

 

“Jemima was entered for our very first Regional Academy day camp in December, but sadly her horse went lame days before,” said nominating coach Katie Williams. “She nevertheless asked if she could attend on foot to watch the sessions and help with fences. She also took loads of videos and photos of the other riders which she then sent me so I could send them on for people to enjoy and learn from. She stayed all day and was cheerful and upbeat despite the circumstances. I feel that her attitude that day epitomised the culture and values we are trying to establish within The Howden Way Regional Academies - supporting others and actively assisting their learning and enjoyment.

Baby Zebra joins the herd

There has been cause to celebrate in the Zebra Products office recently with the arrival of baby Eva Grace, daughter of Sales Executive, Caroline Douglas.

She was welcomed into the world on Sunday 22 April 2018 weighing 7lb 3oz, and is the first of four Zebra babies due this year.

“It seems like we are creating our very own extended Zebra family,” said Simon Middleton, Managing Director at Zebra Products. ‘We were all delighted to hear the news of Eva Grace’s arrival and are very much looking forward to meeting her.”

Living La Bella Vita in Italia

In November, Zebra Products Managing Director Simon Middleton and Saddle Sales Manager Sally Bacon, were delighted to accompany some of our lovely saddle customers on a retailer visit to the Italian HQ of our fabulous saddle supplier, SelleriaEquipe.  Some very special VIP guests also joined us on this trip! 

Dario, Federica and the team at Equipe arranged a jam-packed itinerary for the delegates, including a company introduction, new product training and a visit to their production site, where they showcased the end to end journey of their handmade saddles. The guests even completed some of the production line tasks! Will your new saddle be handmade  by Laura Collett?
